Earned

A family app for raising capable kids

Turn everyday Wins into growing trust.

Recognize real moments of initiative, judgment, and responsibility—so kids can see who they’re becoming and you can give freedom with confidence.

Start with one moment worth remembering.

One small moment. Something bigger.Illustrative example · fictional family

Capability in practice

Taking initiative.

A real example to return to.

Over time, a conversation:
“Ready to take more of the lead?”

Everyday momentsCapabilityTrustFreedom

Capability grows in ordinary moments—together, at home.

Small moments. Lasting meaning.

The moments that shape a child are easy to miss.

We ask our kids to take initiative, be responsible, and make thoughtful decisions. When they do, the moment often passes before we name what it meant.

  • 01

    Started something important.
    Without a reminder.

  • 02

    Made a mistake.
    Then took responsibility.

  • 03

    Noticed someone needed help.
    And stepped in.

How it works

Real life does the teaching.
Earned helps you notice.

  1. 01

    Notice a real moment

Recognize something meaningful your child did. A few words are enough to remember it.

  2. 02

    Name what it demonstrated

Connect the moment to initiative, judgment, resilience, or a value your family cares about.

  3. 03

    Let evidence become trust

Return to those real examples as you reflect together and talk about growing freedom.

One Win. A thread you can follow.

From “I noticed”
to “I trust you.”

A moment becomes more useful when you can return to it. Here’s how Sam’s bike-repair project could grow into a family conversation.

“You found customers for your project without waiting for me to ask.”
Step UpResponsibility

A parent’s recognition. A moment Sam can remember.

  1. A Win worth keeping

Save what happened, in your own words.

  2. A capability taking shape

Connect it to initiative. Notice when it happens again without prompting.

  3. Something to reflect on

At your weekly check-in: “What helped you take that first step?”

  4. A conversation about freedom

As follow-through becomes reliable: “Could you plan your own customer visits?”

One Win starts the story. Parents decide when the evidence supports more freedom.

Why Earned

Not another chore chart.

Every responsibility doesn’t need a price. Earned helps you recognize capability, remember the evidence, and talk about the trust that grows from it.

Chore apps track completion.

Recognize capability.

Name the initiative, judgment, or care behind what your child did.

Scoreboards measure children.

Keep the real examples.

Return to moments and conversations, without reducing a child to a score.

Rewards create transactions.

Let trust stand on its own.

Optional rewards have a place. Belonging, basic responsibilities, and freedom stay separate from purchases.

Family identity

A living picture of what your family stands for.

Your mission and values provide the direction. Real Wins provide the evidence. A weekly reflection helps you decide what deserves attention next.

A shared direction.
Room for each child to grow.

Growing toward

More independence with Sam’s bike-repair project.

For your child

“I can see who
I’m becoming.”

Kids see meaningful Wins, capabilities they’re practicing, and a goal they care about. Family values and the freedom they’re growing toward give that progress a direction.

Recognition they can return to

“I figured out how to find my own customers.”

Families can also use optional rewards and Oro. Trust and freedom are earned separately.

  • No sibling comparison
  • No public child profiles
  • No personality labels or scores

For you

More confidence
when it’s time
to let go.

You know your child. Earned helps you hold onto the examples that make the next conversation clearer.

  • Notice

Recognize a meaningful moment while it’s fresh.

  • Understand

See patterns in real examples, including what happens without reminders.

  • Reflect

Check in each week with your family’s values in view.

  • Trust

Discuss the next freedom, with evidence and boundaries you agree on.

Your judgment stays at the center.

Privacy & trust

Built for private family life.

Family life is personal. Access to your family’s information is tied to your account and your role in that family.

Family access comes first.

Family activity and photos require sign-in and a membership check. Child profiles have no public page.

Parents manage the circle.

Parents add members and create private, one-time invitations. An email address alone doesn’t grant family access.

Sharing is a choice.

A parent can choose to share a limited family summary. Private Win stories and child photos aren’t included in those summaries.

Why we built Earned

Children become capable
through real life.

Earned exists to help families notice that growth, put it into words, and use it to build trust. The most meaningful progress happens after you put the phone down.

Practice happens beyond the screen.

Start with something real.

Raise capable kids by noticing
what’s already growing.

One moment today. A clearer picture of capability,
trust, and freedom over time.
